CROWLEY is an occult rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Comprised of vocalist Lidya Balaban, guitarists Eliza Lee and Ruth Cranston, bassist Kim Fellows, and drummer Sav Montore. Formed in 2022, the band reinvigorates the sounds of retro pagan rock.
Inspired by the bands classic rock roots and a fascination with witchcraft their current releases "The Witching Hour", "Something Wicked This Way Comes", "Pyre", "Hell Hath No Fury" and "Silver Star" blend a heavy rock style with uniquely gothic flavours to produce their signature style. These releases and a notoriously powerful live performance have garnered support from Bloodstock festival, Planet Rock, BBC Introducing, Primordial Radio and more.

"Lidya Balaban is like a twenty something Ann Wilson fronting Dio-era Sabbath or a female-blooded Green Lung. Her voice veers from ominous croon via strident metal to bloodcurdling screams" - Planet Rock
‘All growling riffs and doomy stares, the most exciting band to emerge from the North East’s metal scene in years is riding the crest of a spellbinding wave [...] a witch’s brew of Sabbath-styled heaviness and foreboding lyrical heft’
‘the voice to command a thousand covens.’ - Rush on Rock
‘The nascent energies of Tyneside pagan metal outfit Crowley have been firmly grabbing the attention of many across the UK. … it’s a nailed-on certainty that this quintet is destined for bigger and even grander things. A Sabbath fronted by Lzzy Hale and you’re going to be on the right track for sure.’
‘Silver Star’ possesses a stoner/pagan crossover vibe that goes down a storm; a raging beast, a gryphon afire. ’ - Planet Metal Music
